(TGDA) – Two traditional Vietnamese dresses (Ao Dai) designed by Dinh Van Tho, modeled by Ly Nha Ky and Dam Vinh Hung, were successfully auctioned for 850 million VND. The auction was part of the Tay fashion show held on the evening of December 17th at Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort (Quang Nam).
In the recently concluded fashion show, Dam Vinh Hung and Ly Nha Ky were entrusted with the responsibility of wearing the two most special and elaborate ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses).

While Mr. Dam’s outfit was made of black silk, Ly Nha Ky’s white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) was crafted from a variety of delicate lace materials.

In total, over 1,000 gemstones of various sizes were meticulously and skillfully attached by artisans, contributing to the dress’s radiant and luxurious appearance. Accompanying the outfit is a gold crown adorned with gemstones and eye-catching designs.
During the auction, Mr. Dam’s outfit was purchased by the investor of Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort for a final price of 320 million VND. Meanwhile, Ly Nha Ky’s ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) fetched 500 million VND after several intense bidding sessions.

The owner of the ao dai worn by Ly Nha Ky is businesswoman Do Lan, who recently won the Miss Philanthropy title and made it into the top 10 of the Miss Ao Dai Australia 2017 competition.
Ly Nha Ky continues to prove that she is not only a top-tier artist with meaningful activities but also a compassionate person. Ly Nha Ky surprised over 400 guests at the event when, after contributing 500 million VND to the auction for the outfit she wore, she unexpectedly spent 300 million VND to buy a traditional Vietnamese dress by Truong Thi May, and then another 350 million VND to purchase a special nature painting.

In total, through the auction, Ly Nha Ky has donated 650 million VND to charitable activities.

Despite her busy schedule, Ly Nha Ky still took the time to fly to Hoi An to support designer Dinh Van Tho.

She said she was working with the designer to prepare outfits for the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in her capacity as the producer of director Olivier Assayas’s film, “E-book.”

Soon, the actress will return to Europe to continue investing in her second international film project, starring the French rose Marion Cotillard.
