Announcing The First Zero Plastic Waste Resort In Quang Nam

[VOV2] – Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort has just officially announced that it is a resort with no plastic waste in the environment and no more single-use plastic items. This is a pioneer unit in Quang Nam without plastic waste.
Currently, plastic waste pollution is becoming one of the biggest challenges facing countries around the world. The amount of plastic waste is increasing rapidly but is not properly treated and released into the environment, leaving serious consequences for the ecosystem and human health on a global scale. In particular, tourism is considered a field seriously affected by plastic waste pollution, but at the same time is also a significant source of plastic waste.
Recognizing the urgent need to protect the environment for the country’s sustainable development, with a sustainable development orientation, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort has pursued the journey of environmental protection since the first day of construction. by using environmentally friendly materials and by programs to reduce plastic waste.
“To implement the plan, we have set specific criteria and solutions, with the goal of no more plastic waste being released into the environment and no more single-use plastic items at the Resort. This action is not simply protecting the environment but also opening up great opportunities for sustainable tourism, contributing to creating a Green brand for Vietnam’s tourism industry,” said Mr. Tran Thai Do, investor of Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort. Resort said.
At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Vu The Binh – Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association highly appreciated the efforts of Silk Sense Hoi An Rivert Resort for actively and proactively responding to the call of the Vietnam Tourism Association on Joining hands to contribute to the goal: Plastic waste-free tourism in Vietnam.
